AISHA was a short projection mapping project that made use of a manikin head laying around in our lab. As a disclaimer, it was intentionally designed to be creepy. It is an exploration of the future evolution of smart AI assistants and whether or not a humanoid one would be effective / desirable. AISHA, which stands for Artificially Intelligent Smart Home Assistant, displays information on your home energy and water use, security, etc. and gives helpful advice on how you can save money and behave in more sustainable ways.

Ultimately, the project demonstrates how AI in general could be dangerous, and may begin to look down on humanity as being inefficient, stupid, etc. It also demonstrates that humanoid AI assistants may be too creepy, and that our assistants should either take no physical form at all, or at least a more fun, characterful, form.
